U.S. CELLULAR STAGE
F

Minus
Six
4:00PM TO 5:30PM

|
A
guitarless band may seem
strange at first, but
the piano, bass, drums,
and sax group, Minus
Six, have proven they
can deliver an
impressive rock sound
despite not having a
guitar, thus leading to
the band’s name
“Minus Six.” Over
the past 4 years, the
group has been writing
and rehearsing original
compositions and
performing at venues
throughout Illinois and
Iowa. Minus Six released
their debut CD in June
of 2004 entitled
“Overdue”. Their 2nd
CD, “Some Things
Change”, in August of
2005. Their 3rd CD,
“Hidden Deep in the
Green”, in January of
2007. CD’s are
available on www.minussix.com
as well as www.cdbaby.com.
Music can also be
downloaded on www.itunes.com
as well as several other
digital mainstream
sites. Minus Six has
also been voted “Best
in the Quad Cities” by
fans for two years in a
row (2006-2007) by QC
Magazine. |

Dani
Lynn Howe Band
6:00PM TO 7:30PM

|
This
is where Country and
Rock collide: The
Dani Lynn Howe Band.
You can’t help being
caught up in the fun,
energetic show.
Whether it’s foot-stompin’
or heart wrenching, lead
vocalist Dani Lynn pulls
you along for the
emotional ride of every
song. Growing up
near Cedar Falls, Iowa,
Dani started singing in
church choir when she
was thirteen, then
continued singing and
performing in musical
theatre throughout high
school and college.
After winning several
karaoke contests, she
began singing with live
bands.

Mike
& Joe
8:00PM TO 9:30PM

|
Originally, they struggled with what to do about the band's name. After deciding that they were unwilling to call their entire band Mike and Joe, they picked the name Michelanjelo. Initially, knowing they would still perform some shows with the duo format and others with the whole band, they planned to bill each of the two formats separately using both names depending on whether it was the duo or the full band. Clear as mud right? They tried it for a while. What did they get? Confusion. It soon became clear that the name Mike and Joe was preferred by the fan base. In the meantime, they released their second CD, Michelanjelo Live at the Bandstand. This CD was recorded live and released in conjunction with Dick Clark's organization, and Anheuser Busch. The band continued to expand its touring area, discovering Ohio and Iowa, as well as the far reaches of the Indiana and Illinois markets. |

Trippin'
Billies
10:30PM TO MIDNIGHT

|
Born
in the pubs on the north
side of Chicago, Trippin
Billies started in the
early nineties as an
acoustic duo. It
wasn’t long before
lines grew to long for
the small bars and calls
started coming in from
around the Midwest.
Having the luxury of
living in a city called
home to many great
musicians, Trippin
Billies is comprised of
some of Chicago’s
best. This talent
coupled with their
mutual love of high
energy performance has
moved them above the bar
band circuit and into
concert settings. |
SATURDAY
HI-FI

Wicked
Liz & The Bellyswirls
6pm-7:30pm

|
Wicked
Liz & the
Bellyswirls formed in
1999. Bassist Bob Kelly
and brother Leo (guitar)
began jamming in their
parents basement. One
afternoon, an old
friend, Liz Townsend,
stopped by and sang a
few tunes. This became a
regular occurrence and
soon they were on the
look for a drummer. A
few calls around the
local music scene turned
up Greg Hipskind.
They released their
first CD in 2001. It was
self-titled, showing
their different sides --
blues, funk, folk, rock
and a little twangy-country.

Late
Night Blues Brother and
Shade of Blue
8:00PM TO 9:30PM

|
Bob Balayati & Mike Venier have been paying tribute to the original Blues Brothers together since 1996. Prior to forming Shades of Blue as the Ultimate Blues Brothers Tribute, Bob had been playing harmonica and singing in Rock, Blues, and Country bands throughout northern Illinois for over 30 years. His distinct style of harp playing compliments all types of popular music. With all this experience behind him he is a natural to play the part of "Jake Blues."
